F-Zero GX
More colourful, futuristic rollercoaster racing but the speed, twisty-turny tracks and huge number of competitors actually count against it compared to the N64 version in my opinion. The races are so chaotic that you often end up pinballing around with little control over the situation which can lead to frustration. It's still fun but a little disappointing compared to its predecessor.

Super Mario Bros.
The Timeless Classic Platformer
Revisiting Super Mario Bros. on the NES is like stepping back into a childhood memory, one that’s just as fun and surprisingly challenging as it was decades ago. I have speedran this game in the past, but this time around, I played it in a way I never imagined back then, on a Steam Deck, using RetroArch with RetroAchievements enabled. I was genuinely surprised by how well the game played on the Steam Deck using RetroArch, input latency was remarkably low, which I could never achieve on a PC or on a modern TV. And with all 77 achievements unlocked over 25 hours, this legendary game felt new, challenging, and rewarding.
Let’s be honest — most of us have played Super Mario Bros. before. Whether it was on the original NES, a …

Pokémon Legends: Arceus
The Perfect Pokemon Game: Aipom’s Paw Edition
The ‘Pokemon’ franchise has been going strong since the original games, “Pokemon Red/Green” debuted in Japan as Super Gamboy Enhanced titles way back in 1996. Unfortunately for the developer, Game Freak, they’ve also been in the same repetitive rut since 1996. The drill with ‘Pokemon’ games has always been that there are two complementary versions released simultaneously, which are largely identical, but feature a handful of different obtainable pokemon, thus encouraging trading between players with opposite versions. Likewise, the structure and plot-lines have been completely rote and formulaic, in which a kid or young tween decides to travel across their country, battling their slowly-acquired team of pokemon against 8 Gym …

Everybody's Gone to the Rapture
Before becoming a full-fledged developer, the British-based The Chinese Room began life as a small team modding Half-Life 2. One of these mods, Dear Esther, developed a cult following and in 2012 was released as its own game and gained a fair bit of acclaim itself. Although many may dismiss "walking simulators" as a poor-mans attempt at gaming, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture is far from boring. While it may not take the hours upon hours that modern AAA titles demand, the game makes up for its short run time by delivering an impact that will resonate long after the credits have rolled.
Looks and Stuff: Taking place in a small countryside village (the fictional Yaughton in Shropshire) and surrounding areas, Everybody's Gone to the …

Demon's Souls Remastered
Difficult, Frustrating, and also Rewarding
Demon's Souls is a remake of a game with the same name on PS3. It's a beautiful, difficult, and rewarding game that lacks when it comes to controls and explaining things.
I had never played a game in the "Souls" series before starting this so when I began I only knew a couple things. First, the series is pretty popular and second, that it's viewed as extremely difficult. By the time I finished I understood both of these things very well.
The story of this game isn't that intriguing. In a land called Boltearia an evil presence is taking over. A fog is enveloping the area and there are evil creatures and demons strung about. Once you're in there is no escape and it appears there's a evil being making people like you kill …
